AREAS OF PROFESSIONAL AND SCIENTIFIC INTEREST: financial reporting, international accounting standards, intellectual capital and intangible assets, mergers and acquisitions
GETTING TO KNOW:
I was born in Belgrade, Republic of Serbia, where I finished primary and secondary school as the best student in my generation. I completed my undergraduate, MSc, and PhD studies at the University of Belgrade – Faculty of Economics and Business, focusing on accounting, auditing, and corporate finance. During my studies, I received the Republic Scholarship for Talented Students and the City of Belgrade Scholarship for Talented Students. In my third year of study, I was the best student in 2009/2010. In addition, I won the Association of Accountants and Auditors award for being the best accounting student. For my MSc thesis on the topic “Development and scope of hedge accounting”, I was awarded by the Belgrade Chamber of Commerce in the category “Best master’s thesis for the academic year 2014/2105”. My research interests are related to the accounting aspects of intangible assets and intellectual capital.
MY BUSINESS BIOGRAPHY:
I have been employed at the Faculty of Economics and Business since 2014. I was a teaching assistant in the courses Financial Reporting, Accounting in Banking and Insurance, Principles of accounting and Core management concepts in the Business & Management program in cooperation with the London School of Economics and Political Science. During my career so far, I have been involved in several scientific projects. Some of them include “The role of the state in the new growth model of the Serbian economy”, financed by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development; the Science Fund of the Republic of Serbia project “Ideas” and the Building Forensic Accounting Capacity in Serbia project financed by the International Bureau for Narcotics and Law Enforcement (INL). In addition, I was engaged as a working group member for the EPAS international accreditation program and participated in the international ACCA accreditation process.

For me, the PANACEA project represents the selfless sharing of knowledge, experience and good energy, an opportunity for learning and professional development, and meeting and connecting with people who are top professionals in their fields.
