GETTING TO KNOW:

Vukašin Kuč is an аssociate professor at the University of Belgrade – Faculty of Economics and Business, where he completed all three levels of academic studies. He has a BSc degree in Management, an MSc degree in Accounting, Auditing, and Business Finance, and a PhD degree in Business Management (doctoral dissertation: “Analysis of the Financial Structure of the Largest Companies in Serbia during the Great Recession: Recommendations for Financial restructuring and business strategy”). From the beginning of his academic career, he has enjoyed being one of the best-rated teachers at the Faculty of Economics and in Serbia. Students of the Faculty of Economics know it best from the course Strategic Management, a compulsory subject from the second year. He loves nature, swimming, music, and theatre.

BUSINESS BIOGRAPHY:

Since 2007, he has worked at the University of Belgrade – Faculty of Economics and Business at the Department of Business Economics and Management. He teaches at all levels of study: Strategic Management and Value Based Management in undergraduate studies, Business Strategy and Corporate Governance in MSc studies, and Economics of Strategy in PhD studies. In addition, he teaches three courses on international study programs implemented in cooperation with the London School of Economics and Political Science. He is a member of the Council of the Faculty of Economics, the president of the commission for the recognition of foreign higher education documents, and a member of several committees. He has been a researcher in numerous domestic and international scientific projects (Horizon 2020, Interreg, etc.) and consulting projects in company valuation, restructuring, etc. He is a consultant to the executive board of NLB Komercijalna banka. He is an author and co-author of textbooks and scientific papers in business strategy, value management, capital structure, business and financial restructuring, etc. He is a member of the Strategic Management Society.

PANACEA AND ME:

He considers PANACEA as an exceptional opportunity, a privilege but also a responsibility, to establish a Center of Competence in collaboration with colleagues, outstanding scientists, and researchers from three faculties of the University of Belgrade, connect relevant interest groups and create a foundation for the development of the Sharing Economy in Serbia and the region. In addition to personal and professional satisfaction, he sees benefits from this Project for the entire scientific community and the educational system. The Center of competence will be transferring new knowledge that will lead to the creation of new curricula at different levels of education. Furthermore, it will be a catalyst for further research and projects on the topic of the new concept of the Economy.
